Onyedikagii

A life in progress.

A personal Journey exploring style, travel, grooming, photography, faith and lessons shaping a life lived with intention.

Hi, I’m Onyedika—a curious soul with a love for style, travel, photography and the stories that shape us. Through this journal, I’m sharing life as I experience it: the wins, the lessons, the uncertainty and everything in between. If any part of my journey resonates with you, welcome. Let’s keep growing, one chapter at a time.

I’m a Nigerian living in the united Kingdom, trying to figure out life one chapter at a time.

I hold both Bachelor’s and a Masters degree in Civil Engineering, a field that thought me structure, strength, patience, discipline, and there value of building things that last. While life hasn’t unfolded exactly as I would have wanted, I’ve learnt that sometimes the most beautiful journeys starts with unexpected detours.

At the moment I work in healthcare while continuing to pursue my goals and building towards the future I envision for myself. Every experiencer along the way has taught me something valuable, and I’ve come to appreciate the growth that happens when life take us off. our original path.

Where I’m not working you’ll find me at the gym, learning something new or exploring my new creative interest. Recently I’ve fallen in lover with photography and web designing, these have allowed me to see the world differently.

Why I started Onyedikagii

Lately life has become predictable and there’s nothing necessarily wrong with my routine, but somewhere along the way, its beginning to feel less adventurous and that not me. The excitement of learning, creating and chasing new challenges has quietly faded into the background.

That’s where Onyedikagii was born, I want something that challenged me again, something that made me curious.

This blog ism way of pressing pause on life’s worries and reminding myself of how beautiful life can be and is. Here I document my journey, explore new interests, share my thoughts and stay accountable to the person I’m becoming by sharing experiences, lessons interests, wins, setbacks and everything in between. Whether its personal growth, finance, fashion, fitness, photography, or simply figuring out life.

And if my story encourages even one person to keep moving froward, embrace changes, or find beauty in the ordinary, then Onyedikagii will have served its purpose.

What’s the Story Behind Onyedikagii?

Onyedikagii is an Igbo phrase that asks a simple question:

“Who is like you?”

The name is inspired by my first name, Onyedika.

As an immigrant, I eventually found myself using my second name Jerome more often, especially in professional settings, because it was easier for people to pronounce. While that made life simpler, I began to miss hearing my own name and the connection it carries to who I am and where I come from.

Starting this blog felt like the perfect opportunity to reclaim a part of that identity.

So Onyedikagii is more than just a blog name—it’s a nod to my roots, my culture, and a reminder to stay connected to myself no matter where life takes me.
